Engineer Company

Sapper A.B.Raworth was promoted to be Lieutenant on 10. 11. 14. Sapper J.P.Jones was granted a Commission as temporary 2nd

Lieutenant R.G.A. on 19. 11. 14.

Maghine Gun Company.

Captain G.P.Lammert, Right Section, was seconded for duty as Officer in charge of Supplies A. S. 0. on 5. 8. 14. and his unit was attached to the Civil Service Company. Lieutenant Crowther

Smith was appointed to command the Section on 19. 3. 15. Private R.E.Lindsell was appointed to be second Lieutenant in the

Civil Service Company on 24. 7. 14.

Lieutenant G. Horrington was granted a Commission as temporary

2nd Lieutenant R.G.A, on 28. 10, 14.

Sergeant B.F. Chapman was granted a Commission as temporary 2nd

Lieutenant R.G.A. on 2. 1. 15.

Scouts Company.

Captain G. E. Stewart was appointed Adjutant of the Corps on 10. 12. 14 in addition to his Company duties. Lieutenant R.0.Hutchison was appointed A. D. C. to His Excellency the Governor on 15. 11. 14, with the honorary rank of Captain. Sergeants L.I.iurphy and C.C.F.Cunningham were promoted to be 2nd. Lieutenants on 7. 7. 14. and 19. 8. 14. respectively.

Second Lieutenant J.K.Swire, Essex Yeomanry, was attached to the Company from 4. 8. 14 to 5. 12. 14.

Lance Corporal A.R.Sutherland was granted a Commission as temporary

2nd Lieutenant R.G.A. on 19, 11. 14.

5. Training

The Courses of instruction consisted of squad, Company and Battalion drill, Musketry exercises, bayonet fighting, akirmishing and out-posts.
